About this course

Support patients' mental health and wellbeing as a registered nurse. Study on one of the UK’s top-ranked nursing programmes (ranked third in the UK: QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024)).

On this degree, you'll gain the skills, knowledge, and experience to provide compassionate and inclusive care. After graduating, you can register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Mental Health Nurse.

You'll be taught by experienced registered nurses in modern, well-equipped facilities and gain hands-on experience through placements in settings such as:

  • early intervention teams
  • community mental health services
  • attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) assessment clinics
  • child and adolescent mental health services
  • inpatient wards
  • mother and baby units (supporting postnatal mental health)
  • forensic mental health services

You’ll be supported through every step of your journey, from student to nurse. Our students each benefit from the support of a personal academic tutor, who is a registered nurse, and from our long-standing relationships with the leading practice settings who deliver our placements.
