We give education a central role in our mission and contribute to the formation of new scientists both directly and indirectly by writing books on the subjects we specialise in, teaching in several summer schools to educate postgraduate students around the world, and teaching our local undergraduates and postgraduates.
These books have been published by staff in our section:
- Spin Dynamics: Basics of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (2nd Edition) by Malcolm H. Levitt, 2008, Wiley
- Lectures On Spin Dynamics: The Theoretical Minimum by Giuseppe Pileio, 2022, RSC
- Spin: From Basic Symmetries to Quantum Optimal Control by Ilya Kuprov, 2023, Springer
- Quantum Mechanics: inception or conception? A Classical Preamble to Quantum Mechanics by Giuseppe Pileio, 2022, CRC Press
Our research section contributes to education in chemistry, biology and medicine by coordinating and lecturing a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
We lecture NMR and other subjects in a number of undergraduate courses:
We also teach NMR as a part of the courses below
In addition, we lecture on a number of Physical Chemistry, Biology and Biochemistry courses within the department of chemistry and the centre for biological sciences of the University of Southampton.
