About
Patrick joined the Cancer Sciences School in 2006 to create a Protein Facility. As of 2024, he has 30 years of experience in molecular biology and 20 years of experience in protein expression and protein purification.
The Protein Facility has produced over 100 different proteins and Patrick has contributed to over 45 publications.

Current research
The Protein Facility is focused on the production of recombinant proteins involved in cancer. The process involves all the steps from cloning and expression to purification and quality control.
The Protein Facility has strong interactions with structure biologists in the Institute of Life Sciences.
